- BYUPathway's global model uses tuition from higher-income countries to sustain deeply subsidized tuition elsewhere. Each U.S. degree-seeking student helps support up to three students overseas who could not otherwise afford an accredited education.
- What family history programs are available?
- There are three: the Family History Research certificate, the Advanced Family History Research certificate, and the Associate of Family History Research. Every course in a certificate counts toward the associate degree.
- How long does a family history certificate take?
- Certificates are 12–15 credits and can be completed in a year or less. The associate degree stacks two certificates plus general and religious education courses.
- Can family history research be a career?
- Yes. Graduates work as professional genealogists, research specialists, archive and library assistants, and family history consultants — and many use it for client research work from home.
- Is the family history program accredited?
- Yes. Credentials are awarded by BYU-Idaho and Ensign College, both accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
